Law and Mediation

25 Years of Experience

Value 01.

Genuineness and Compassion

My many years of mediating all sorts of cases from Landlord/Tenant, to General Equity and Estate Matters, to Custody and Divorce matters has helped me understand that a litigant needs 3 things:

  • Someone to listen

  • Someone to guide them

  • Someone to advocate for them

I really take pride in being compassionate, real, and reasonable... I have completed the Rule 1:40 Mediation Program, and enjoy helping people create their own agreements in a private setting.

About

Kimberley Almasy LaMountain Esq. graduated Rutgers College in 1990 and Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Western Michigan University, cum laude in 1995. At TMC, Kimberley earned several awards, including the American Juris Prudence Award for Trial and Advocacy. Kimberley began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert P. Figarotta, presiding judge of the Middlesex County Superior Court Criminal Division (1995-1996). In 1997, she founded the general practice law firm of Almasy & Almasy, LLC, where she served her clients fo 19 years in the areas of divorce and custody, domestic violence, municipal court matters including drunk driving arrests, real estate transactions, and estate planning and litigation. In 2007, Kimberley earned her Mediation Training Certificate in family law cases. Recognizing that clients do not always have the money to or need to litigate their issues, Kimberley decided to expand her career focus. In 2016, she established Almasy LaMountain Law & Mediation, offering a new service and solution strategy for her clients, mediation and uncontested divorces. In 2003, Kimberley received the award for Outstanding Representation of Clients from the NJ Council for Children's Rights, and has continued to work toward the goal through-out her 23 years of practice.

Kimberley's office is located in Woodbridge, and she has meeting locations in Monmouth County. She appears in all NJ counties. Home visits or hospital visits may also be arranged.

As a wife and mother of four, Kimberley respects family, community and commitment. Her commitments include volunteering as a competitive cheer coach for 7 years with the township program, serving as a board member of the Pop Warner/AYF program, assisting as a youth soccer coach, serving as a religious education instructor, and Township Planning Board Member (vice-chair). Kimberley is a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association, and serves as court appointed mediator for the Chancery Division. Through her career, Kimberley has also volunteered with the District VIII Ethics Panel, assisted with the State Foreclosure Mediation Program, and assisted as a court appointed Eminent Domain Real Estate Commissioner.

Quite simply, Kimberley is no stranger to chaos or change. She has entrenched herself into all aspects of life, and welcomes the opportunity to use those experiences in understanding and guiding you through your situation. Whether it is an exciting event such as a home closing or emotional event such as a divorce or arrest, Kimberley takes pride in attaining positive outcomes for her clients, and eliminating the stress and uncertainty when possible.
